What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work properly, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners about how their site is being used.

Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the EU ePrivacy Directive, we are required to obtain your consent before storing any non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies (including browser local storage used for tracking) on your device.

How we use cookies

Humble-UI uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or data brokers. The table below lists every cookie and storage item we set.

Strictly necessary (no consent required)

Name Type Purpose Duration Provider
sb-*-auth-token Essential Stores your authentication session so you remain signed in between page loads. Without this cookie the Service cannot function. Session / up to 1 year Supabase
humble_cookie_consent Essential Stores your cookie preference (accepted or rejected) so we do not show the consent banner on every visit. 1 year Humble-UI (localStorage)
humble_demo_used Essential Records whether you have consumed your one free demo generation. Stored only on your device; never sent to our servers. Persistent (until cleared) Humble-UI (localStorage)

Analytics (consent required)

Name Type Purpose Duration Provider
ph_* Analytics PostHog analytics. Assigns an anonymous identifier to your browser session to distinguish unique visitors and track usage patterns (pages visited, buttons clicked, prompt generations). This data helps us understand how the product is used and where to improve it. No personally identifiable information is stored in this cookie. 1 year PostHog

PostHog is only initialised after you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner. If you click "Reject non-essential", PostHog is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set for your session.

How to change your preference

To change your cookie preference at any time, clear your browser's local storage for humble-ui.com — this removes the humble_cookie_consent key and causes the consent banner to reappear on your next visit.

You can clear local storage in most browsers via:
DevTools → Application → Local Storage → humble-ui.com → Delete All

Alternatively, you can opt out of PostHog analytics globally by visiting the PostHog opt-out page.

Browser-level cookie controls

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies will prevent the Supabase authentication cookie from being set, meaning you will not be able to sign in to the Service.

04

Vercel Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to measure Core Web Vitals (page load performance metrics such as LCP, CLS, and FID). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or persistent identifiers — it operates entirely without storing data on your device and collects only anonymous, aggregated performance data. It is therefore exempt from cookie consent requirements.

05

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, or when the law requires us to. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For material changes, we will reset your consent preference so the banner reappears and you can make a fresh choice.
